PitchingMagic

Fastpitch Softball
Chisago City, MN

Here's a list of some of the highlights that my pitching students have accomplished. Each of the referenced pitchers started with me at 10U and most of them were still coming over regularly as they achieved these great things.

From 2008 through 2026, in every season except one a pitcher trained in the basics through PitchingMagic has led her high school team to the MSHSL State Tournament in Mankato, Minnesota (excluding the COVID year 2020 with no tournament). A total of 37 teams were represented during that 18 season stretch.

2026 at the High School level: 1st, 2nd and 6th place in the HS state tournament for large schools (AAAA).
2025 at the High School level: 2nd and 3rd place in AAAA and 4th place in AAA. Top seed Forest Lake lost only 2 games all year, both to PitchingMagic students. Another of my pitchers beat both the 2024 and 2025 state championship teams. 3 pitchers were named as top 25 players in the Star Tribune.
2025 at the college level, a junior college World Series championship and a 1st team an All American
2024 at the college level: At Junior College A World Series 2nd place behind the national pitcher of the year who set the single season strikeout record (while pitching just under half of her team's innings) which still stands. Also the Lone Star Conference (Toughest NCAA D2 conference) ERA leader. 2024 at the high school level saw 3 all state and also 3 10th graders featured in the top 30 underclassmen in Breakdown. In the HS section quarter final and semi final games, one of those 10 graders recorded 18 strikeouts in each of two consecutive games on the same day.

2024 also had great outcomes for pitchers on summer teams, taking 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in the USA Softball 10U Tier 1 state tournament, in the USSSA (club teams) state tournament their teams finished 1st and 2nd in at 12U, 1st and 2nd at 14U A and winning 14U open.

2022 saw Forest Lake win its first state championship and Chisago Lakes made its first ever state tournament appearance, finishing 3rd. Chisago Lakes and Forest Lake each finished 2nd in 2023.

In 2021 the only two pitchers to beat #1 ranked Stillwater were a 9th grader and a 7th grader from PitchingMagic. The earlier years had highlights as well such as 2 All American selections in college, varsity starters at 11 different schools one season and a 7th grader who struck out 30 of the first 33 batters she faced as she started her HS journey on a 9th grade team.
